VR: Forepost

In this scene I used objects from different scources: a city created in Google #Blocks, a Mandel-brot structure created with MandelBulber, some spherical objects to which I added different textures and the rest was assembled in #TiltBrush

VR: The Four Seasons

Here’s a large diorama like scene I created in Tilt Brush, inspired by the diorama’s I admired during my childhood, and of course by Vivaldi’s famous “Four Seasons”.

Once the buying process is completed you’ll receive the download link in your email. Copy the downloaded file into your Users/Documents/Tilt Brush/Sketches-folder and you’re ready to Tilt!

VR: Holocaust

I’ve been hesitating for a long time if I should create this scene in virtual reality, but after a discussion about this project of Facebook, which raised some pure racist comments and reactions, I decided to continue, because it’s obvious that one has to keep the memory alive of what terrible things have happened during the Holocaust. Virtual reality, being a new and modern way of communication and expression  can be used as well to reach a wider, younger audience.
I tried to keep this scene as simple as possible, to focus on the victims which are depicted here.

If you own Tilt Brush, you can download this scene for free using this LINK. Extract the files and place them in your main Tilt Brush directory. Beware: Large file, so a fast computer and an adequate GPU might be necessary

This scene is meant for personal use only. Feel free to contact me for further enquiries.

VR: Winter Wonderland 2018

Here’s my Winterwonderland 2018 project, made in Tilt Brush, Google Blocks, and a little bit of Gravity Sketch. I also used many photo’s and some free models I found on the internet. The scene consists of a main, frozen pond, situated between several caves where you can take a virtual tour at some large religions of the world: Christianity, symbolized by a medieval monastery and elements of the Sagra Familia in Barcelona. Also depicted are the Buddhist religion, inspired buy some Thai temples I visited, ancient Egypt, the Islam and Hinduism, as shown in a Taj Mahal like atmosphere.

You can download this scene for free if you own Tilt Brush, by using this LINK. Be sure to read the included Read me first-file as well.

VR: Gold Man

I used Oculus Medium to create this. At first I wanted to create an Old Man, but after experimenting with the included filters in Oculus Medium, I decided to rename it to “Goldman”, and here’s the result. Unfortunately the file was too big to upload to Sketchfab.com ( I have a Pro-acoount there, so if someone wants to sponsor me for a Business-account ( €29 per month just let me know )

VR: Frozen in Time

I created this scene with a rather new VR application called Google Blocks. Appearances mauy differ, depending on the site where you publish them, as you can spot the difference between several instance of the same object.

The Sketchfab-version, with many online filters added, is below:

Both scenes are interactive by using your mouse and can be viewed in VR as well when you use a suitable VR goggles.

VR: Majdanek

I made this painting after one of my visits to former Nazi concentration camps in Germany, Austria and Poland.
This scene is from the Majdanek Death Camp at the eastern Polish border near the town of Lublin. At least 75000, mainly Jewish prisoners have been murdered here, though other sources estimate the number of victims to 300.000.
I painted this expressing my feelings about what I saw, and I decided to cut away some wires and let some shoes float up into the air, as an expression of hope for the future, though I know there was no hope at all for the victims of these gruesome acts.
The painting I made is now part of the Westerbork Memorial Site collection.
I’ve been hesitating long if I should recreate this painting in virtual reality or not. Most scenes made by VR artists are made for fun, often depicting comic figures, fantasy monsters etc. After all the Tilt Brush program I used to create this is also sold as a game. I cannot describe what I felt standing in front of those piles of thousands shoes, in all kind of sizes and all kind of colours. Words cannot describe it, neither can images or virtual reality. It was an unimagineable reality…
I want to create something different however, so I decided to do this.
The originale Tilt Brush file will be available free for download in march this year, so people with a HTC Vive can experience this themselves.

VR: Halloween Horror Maze

Below is a Sketchfab-version of the centre figure in a life size “interactive” maze, which I created in Google’s Tilt Brush. Adding several filters resluted in this metallish figure, which is different from the one in Tilt Brush ( pictures will be posted tonight ).
Owners of Tilt Brush  will find the maze in the Tilt Brush showcase, once they loaded the program, so they can explore it in virtual reality and try to find their way to the centre figure.
